Denis Parkers Blues and Roots Revue goes electric in this old school blues showdown! St. John’s newest (and best dressed) blues band STOMPBOX opens the evening with serious chops and a professional show that goes way beyond their average age of 16. The second set features new tunes from DENIS PARKER & the MODERN SAINTS and features more of the grinding, swampy blues that has put Parker back on the scene after a 15 year recording break.
Then for the finale, we close with some old-fashioned jamming and head cuttin’ to see who rules the school….
Will the young ‘uns make us look like one armed old men? Probably.
Will Parker wipe the floor with all of us? Most likely, yeah.
Will there be a line-up of chicks looking to get photos with Lefty? Probably, lots of ‘em.
